Product Information
Imodium Instants are used to treat acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over. It is also used treat diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome in adults and children aged 18 years and older.

These are green / grey capsules marked 'Imodium' and 'JANSSEN'.
Warning or Restrictions
Do not use if:
•The patient is aged under 12 years (or under 18 for an IBS patient).
•Your diarrhoea has lasted for longer than 48 hours.
•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor before using this medicine if you are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently taking any other medicines as this may cause an interaction.
•If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine, please seek medical advice before taking.
•If you have any questions after you have bought this medication, please speak to your pharmacist.

Product Uses
For short term diarrhoea, in adults and children aged 12 years and older: dissolve two tablets onto the tongue at the start treatment then one tablet after each loose bowel movement.
For IBS diarrhoea, in adults and children aged 18 years and older: dissolve two tablets onto the tongue at the start treatment, then one tablet after each loose bowel movement.
Do not take more than 6 melts in any 24 hour period.
Tips and Advice
Replace lost fluid by drinking more liquid than usual and using oral rehydration sachets.
